Day 1: Hue - Arrival – Dong Hoi
In the morning there will be a transfer from Hue Airport to Dong Hoi stopping en route at Hien Luong Bridge and Vinh Moc tunnels. We arrive in Dong Hoi in the afternoon where there is time to relax on the beach. Overnight in Dong Hoi.
Day 2: Dong Hoi – Phong Nha Caves – Hue (D)
Morning excursion to the World Heritage recognized Phong Nha Caves by boat. Drive back to Hue along Route 14 which formed part of the Ho Chi Minh Trail. Along the way we see Truong Son Military Cemetery, dedicated to Vietnamese soldiers who perished in the war. We arrive in Hue late afternoon and in the evening dine at Tha Om Garden House situated in Nha Ruong's, Hue garden with lotus ponds and trees. Overnight in Hue.
Day 3: Hue - Boat Cruise – Citadel and Royal Tombs
Morning boat cruise on the Perfume River visiting the Thien Mu Pagoda. Drive to the Imperial Citadel modeled on the same lines as Beijing's Forbidden Palace. The Citadel contains a series of palaces, ornate halls, libraries, residences and colleges. After lunch we visit the elaborate tombs of Emperor Tu Duc and Khai Dinh.
Day 4: Hue - Danang – My Son – Hoi An
In the morning visit Emperor Minh Mang’s tomb before driving to Danang, stopping at the Cham Museum. After lunch in Danang we proceed to the remarkable ruins of My Son in a remote jungle valley. My Son was formerly the religious centre of the Cham Kingdom and is another UNESCO World Heritage site with more than 20 well-preserved monuments. Late afternoon we arrive in Hoi An. Overnight in Hoi An.
Day 5: Hoi An Sightseeing – Thanh Ha Village – Tra Que Village (D)

There is a morning walking tour of this ancient trading port. Visit a traditional Chinese Assembly House, a Hokkien Temple, ancient merchants’ houses, the 400-year-old Japanese Covered Bridge followed by a visit a lantern workshop. Learn how lanterns are made and create your own. After lunch cruise to Thanh Ha pottery village and visit a traditional ceramic workshop. Visitors have a chance to “get their hands dirty” making their own creations.
Drive to Tra Que village to discover the traditional gardening methods, join the farmers in the fields, try some local dishes and indulge in a relaxing foot soak using a homegrown herbal remedy. This evening dine at an ancient house in town enjoying local cuisine and talking to the host family. Overnight in Hoi An.
Day 6: Danang – Departure
Free Morning. Transfer to airport. End of services.
