Hoi An - an ancient town situated in 30km south of Danang, was one of the major trading centers in Southeast Asia from 16th to 19th centuries. Hoi An is highly attractive for historical, geographic, artistic, architectural aspect. As a World Cultural Heritage site, Hoi An has a collection of old private houses still keep their original forms which made of rare wood; the clean narrow streets in a chessboard pattern; the communal temples, community halls, and pagodas with the mixed architectural style of Chinese, French and Vietnamese. |
