ITINERARY

We have created something a little different from the rest.. We wish to give you more of a rounded experience, in the journey to, and process of buying local produce, combined with a hands on market garden experience and a corcale boat ride.Our means of cooking, which is done in the traditional manner using wood fires is also unique for a cooking class.

08.30 Setting off from Rose Travel office in Hoi An. After a quick briefing, it’s time to jump on, click on your helmet and off we go! You will discover some special and hidden Hoi An streets while sitting and enjoying the view from the back of our tour guides vespa to the Tiger market.
With a multitude of smiling flower sellers lining the pavement near the entrance, it’s hard to miss. The Tiger Temple, also known as Mieu Ong Cop, can be found close by at the corner of Ton Duc Than and Phan Dinh Phung. 
09.45 – 10.00 The Tiger market is where locals do their shopping and is far less touristy than the Hoi An old town market. Bordered by various shops and residences, this is the equivalent to your local suburban shopping centre, giving you the opportunity to see and learn about a vast array of local produce and products.
10.00 – 11.00 Our next part of the journey takes us to An My village. You will be taken a step back in time as you meet some of the villagers to buy produce directly from their gardens and help them tend the soil. 
Pick the herbs for your cooking class yourself. It doesn’t get much fresher than this.
11.15 – 13.30 Arriving at Viet Kitchen you will be given a demonstration of rice paper making by traditional means using a wood fire. The rice paper is the base for one of Vietnam’s national dishes – Banh Cuon. Sampling this will get your taste buds prepared for the food ahead.
Now it’s time to do some cooking. Using the herbs you picked, from the soil you tilled and watered is the key to Vietnamese food – freshness of produce.
