The festival aims to opening a road linking heritages, boosting international co-operation as well as restoring and promoting the cultural value and inter-regional tourism.

With the theme ‘Meeting of Indochinese cultural heritages’, the festival will focus on the cultural exchanges and speed up investment co-operation for inter-regional and inter-national tourism development.

The opening festival will take place on June 20 -27 in Hoi An ancient town with art performance by artists from provinces of Lao, Cambodia and Vietnam having the world culture heritages such as My Son, Hoi An, Hue of Vietnam, Angkor, Siemriep of Cambodia, Vatphu, Champasak and Luangphrabang of Laos.

Folk singing, traditional costume show and sport activities will also be held during the event.

Director of the local Tourism Department Dinh Hai said the this year’s festival will see many new things which aims to attract an increase of 20% more of  tourists to the localities on the occasion.
