ITINERARY IN DETAIL

DAY 1: HA NOI ARRIVAL (D)

Meet and greet at international airport. Upon arrival visit Ba Dinh Square, Ho Chi Minh Mausoleum & Residence, One Pillar Pagoda and Literature Temple (The 1st University of Vietnam. Then take a city tour: sightseeing at Hoan Kiem Lake, Turtle Tower and The Huc Bridge and Ngoc Son Temple. Continue on to enjoy the Water Puppet Show.

DAY 2: HA NOI - HA LONG BAY (B/L/D)

After breakfast, free Shopping at Ancient Housing Area and Dong Xuan market. After will transfer to Halong town. This four hours drive will show you the diversity of the North Vietnam villages and rice fields along the journey.

DAY 3: HA LONG - HA NOI - HO CHI MINH (B/L/D)

This morning, take half-day boat trip in Halong Bay to view multi-shaped rocks and caves awarded as UNESCO natural heritage: Heaven cave and Wooden cave. Seafood lunch will be served on board. Return to Hanoi, then you will be transferred to the airport for your flight to Ho Chi Minh city. Upon arrival, our guide and driver will pick up and transfer to your hotel in Ho Chi Minh. Overnight in Ho Chi Minh city.

DAY 4: HO CHI MINH - MY THO - HO CHI MINH (B/L/D)

After breakfast, a two hour drive to My Tho will expose the colorful outskirt life as well as picturesque rice fields along the journey. Upon arrival, get on a boat trip up Mekong River with islet stop at Thoi Son to taste seasonal fruits, enjoy traditional folk songs. Then, visit the authentic life of the local and challenge your bargaining power at cottage handicraft shops. An adventurous sampan ride in palm shading creeks will be the next experience of the riverside region. Lunch to be served with the Mekong Delta specialty Deep Fried Elephant ear fish. Return to ho Chi Minh City in the afternoon, visit to China Town and Thien Hau Temple. Dinner will be serve on Saigon River Cruise.

DAY 5: HO CHI MINH - CU CHI - HO CHI MINH (B/L/D)

After breakfast, a one and half hour drive takes you to Cu Chi tunnel where human knowledge has been enriched by experiencing an web-like tunnels system of more than 200km in length which used to be the shelters of guerrillas during the war against American troops .Return to Ho Chi Minh for lunch. After lunch, visit to The War Museum, the Hundred Years Red Cathedral (Notre Dame Cathedral), The Old Post Office, Phuong Nam Lacquerware Factory and HACOTA shopping complex.

DAY 6: HO CHI MINH DEPARTURE - ARRIVAL - SIEM REAP - ANGKOR WAT TOUR (B)

Bid farewell to Ho Chi Minh city today then you will be transferred to airport for your flight to Siem Riep. Upon arrival at Siem Reap airport, meets and transfers to hotel for check in. Lunch not included.

Visit to the unique interior brick sculptures of Prasat Kravan, Srah Srang ("The Royal Baths" was once used or ritual bathing), Banteay Kdei (surrounded by 4 concentric walls), Ta Prohm, one of the area’s most beautiful temples. Ta Prohm has been relatively untouched since it was discovered and retains much of its mystery. Neak Pean, a fountain built in the middle of a pool (representing the paradisiacal Himalayan mountain-lake) and Preah Khan temple, Built by the King Jayavarman VII. Preah Khan is, like Ta Prohm, a place of towered enclosures and shoulder hugging corridors. Unlike Ta Prohm, however, the temple of Preah Khan is in a reasonable state of preservation and ongoing restoration efforts should maintain and even improve this situation.

DAY 07:SIEM REAP - ANGKOR WAT TOURS (B)

Visit the antique capital of Angkor Thom (12 century): the South Gate with its huge statues depicting the churning of the ocean of milk, the Bayon Temple, unique for its 54 towers decorated with over 200 smiling faces of Avolokitesvara, the Phimeanakas, the Royal Enclosure, the Elephants Terrace and the Terrace of the Leper King. Lunch not included

Visit to the most famous of all the temples on the plain of Angkor: Angkor Wat. The temple complex covers 81 hectares and is comparable in size to the Imperial Palace in Beijing. Its distinctive five towers are emblazoned on the Cambodian flag and the 12th century masterpiece is considered by art historians to be the prime example of classical Khmer art and architecture. Enjoy wonderful sunset from the top of Pre Rup Temple.

DAY 08:SIEM REAP - PHNOM KULEN MOUNTAINS – BANTEAY SREY (B)

We will drive up Kulen Mountains for the visit to a Grand Buddha Statue, the River of Thousand Lingas and the Great Waterfall. Lunch not included

On the way back, we will visit to Banteay Srey, known as Citadel of Women or a Pink Temple, and Banteay Samre Temples. Dinner not included and night at hotel.

DAY 09:SIEM REAP - BOAT TRIP - KHMER VILLAGES – SIEM REAP (B/L)

In the morning, we will enjoy a boat ride on the Tonle Sap Lake at KAMPONG PHLUK VILLAGE. This is the largest permanent fresh-water lake in South East Asia and flows into Tonle Sap River, joining the Mekong in Phnom Penh. We will see a fishermen's "floating village" with floating schools, floating police station, etc. It is same as a big village floating on the lake, and the "village" move from place to place following water levels and current. Lunch at local restaurant

In the afternoon, we will drive out of the city to the Khmer Village (see below details)

Khmer Tractor Ride to Remote Temple – Half Day

In the afternoon, drive via the Khmer Village. You will go past rice paddies, palm trees, ox-drawn carts and the odd ruin. A visit to a local family can also be included, which adds a unique personal touch to the whole excursion.

Tour Highlights:

+        See rice planting—June to December. Rice harvest—December

+        See villagers’ vegetable farm such string, eggplants.

+        See remote temple in the jungle called Banteay Ampil (You don’t need Angkor Pass for this temple)

Return to Siem Reap in the evening.  Dinner not included and night at hotel .

 

DAY 10:SIEM REAP - DEPARTURE (B)

Breakfast at hotel.

Transfer to Siem Reap airport for flight to next destination.
