Most of the markets are in the wilderness. To attend the weekly social and commercial event many local hill tribes leave their isolated homes on the precipitous mountaintop cornfields and trek for miles. There are a few souvenirs for sale here but you may find a tasty snack or a bargain price on a buffalo!

SAPA – MUONG HUM MARKET - SAPA

To make the most of the day, we’re advised to depart from Sapa at 7:30 for a 60-km driving on the ‘road less traveled’ to Bat Xat. The driving takes us through beautiful untouched valleys of Ta Giang Phin and Ban Khoang villages.
Arrive at Muong Hum at around 9:00, there will be plenty of time to wander around and take in the hustle and bustle. Unlike those in the tourist areas, the market is not only for buying and selling, but are also meeting places for ethnic minority people to meet and exchange news.
After joining the market, a quick transfer takes us to Ky Quan Son valley for a light trek to visit Ha Nhi people at their authentic village. We’ll have an early lunch at a local restaurant then Trip ends at your address in Sapa at around 15:00.
