ITINERARY IN DETAIL
Day 1: Hue airport/station – city Hue half day tour (L)
We pick you up at Hue Airport upon your arrival and transfer to your hotel.
In the afternoon, Start the day with a 40 minute boat trip on the Perfume River to Thien Mu Pagoda. Enjoy a walk within the walls of the Citadel and explore the ruins of the home of the royal family. After the visit to this impressive monument, continue to the extravagant mausoleum of Khai Dinh south of Hue. The tomb of Khai Dinh boasts a traditional Vietnamese design with a European touch, making it unique from the other tombs in Hue. Back in Hue, you'll also have time to experience daily life of Hue's locals with a visit to the Dong Ba market before returning to your hotel for a good night’s rest.
Day 2: Cooking class at Thuy Bieu village – Hoi An (B, L)
Pick up from your hotel at 08:00. Embark on boat at Toa Kham (around 08:30).
Stop at Dong Ba Market and buy necessary food for cooking class with our chief.
Visit to Thien Mu Pagoda – the symbol of Hue city.
Back to the boat for a scenic cruise to Thuy Bieu village – famous for Thanh Tra fruit.
Arrival to Thuy Bieu, a nice walk or biking around village.
+ Visit to local garden, old ancestral temple
+ Visit to incense making family to discover the daily life of local people while they are working strenuously with joy and enthusiasm.
+ Visit to joss paper making family to know more about a tradional custom of Vietnamese people and know why they use joss paper, also known as ghost money, for the died people.
+ Visit to paper painting family to see the countryside painting art of the young local artists.
Come back to Thuy Bieu restaurant for cooking class (you will prepare lunch by yourself with our chief’s instruction)
Lunch with Hue traditional dishes you have just cooked.
Relax by soaking your foot in medicinal herb water – a traditional therapeutic practice.
Excellent massage by blind people.
After that, heading to Hoi An. Overnight in Hoi An.
Day 3: Hoi An ancient city with boat trip on Thu Bon river (B, L)
Today, we’ll discover the old town, which used to be a prosperous seaport city during the 15th to 18th centuries, by foot. Its sizeable community of foreign merchants resulted in a unique architectural style with Vietnamese, Chinese and Japanese influences. Visit the assembly hall of the Fujian Chinese Congregation, the Museum of Folk Culture, the Japanese Covered Bridge and the Tan Ky House. Finish this trip back in time with a visit to a handicraft workshop, where you learn about the history and art of lantern making. Make your own lantern with the guidance of a local craftsman and take home a handmade souvenir!
After that, board a local boat and cruise down the THU BON RIVER, enjoying the unspoiled countryside and stopping to visit a POTTERY VILLAGE and a WOODCARVING VILLAGE before returning to Hoi An harbour.
Return our car to return hotel in Hoi An Ancient city.
