ITINERARY IN DETAIL
Day 1: Da Nang airport/station – Son Tra peninsula (L)
Guide and driver pick you up from the airport. Then visit Da Nang city, the third international gateway of Viet Nam and a major seaport with magnificent beach.
Departure to visit the Marble Mountain where you discover the mystic caves or climb the top of the mountains to get a panoramic view of the beach and the city. These five rocky outcrops are said to represent five natural elements, and are the source of many intriguing legends. They house temples and once even an army hospital! You will see skilled artisans carving all manner of statues from marble sourced locally at the mountains' base.
Continue to visit the Cham Museum in Da Nang, once center of the ancient Cham civilization. The Cham people left a legacy of excellent sculptures, now housed in the only museum of its kind in Da Nang, as they were pushed south by the advancing Vietnamese invaders. Close by Da Nang is My Khe Beach, immortalized for many from the U.S. TV show and still one of the most spectacular beaches in Asia.
Have lunch at beach restaurant.
In the afternoon, we will visit Son Tra peninsula with Linh Ung Pagoda.
Son Tra Peninsula is fun, interesting and adventurous. Still largely covered with dense rainforest it gives a home to the rare Red Shanked Doucs. A primate which is a common find up in the trees of the Son Tra Jungle but elsewhere in South East Asia quite difficult to spot. Son Tra is a perfect Get-a-way from Danang City exploring the narrow jungle roads by motorbike or hike through the Jungle in search for some exclusive wildlife.
Drop off at your hotel in Da Nang city.
Day 2: Hoi An Ancient city (B, L)
After breakfast, we will be make a journey to Hoi An Ancient City.
Arriving in Hoi An in the early afternoon, check in hotel and free at your leisure.
Overnight in Hoi An.
Day 3: Ba Na Hill – Hue Imperial city (B, L)
7:30 Our guide and driver pick you up at your hotel and we depart to Ba Na Hills, from there, you can enjoy the colorful picture as well as sparkling views, you will be contemplated the grandeur of mountain, railfall, the old-growth forest…They will bring you the adventurous feeling as in the fairyland with four seasons within one day.
8:30 Arrive at Ba Na Hills, sitting on the cable which is the longest cable in the world (5801m), you will have a look at Vong Nguyet Hills, Linh Ung Pagoda, Thich Ca Phat Dai, Old French horse stables, Meditation Garden,…
10:00 Go for sightseeing Nghinh Phong Peak, Le Nim Villa, Ba Na Brigde, conquer Chua Mountain at an altitude of 1487 meters above sea level to watch the view of Danang city and Quang Nam from the layer of cloud.
11:00 Have lunch at the restaurant
12:00 Free to joining games in Fantasy Park – the third biggest indoor games zone in Vietnam with series of interesting games: 4- 5D films, skiver, The death race, Dinosaur Park…
14:30 Return the car to drive to Hue.
Arrive Hue and check in hotel in Hue Imperial city.
Day 4: Hue Imperial city – Phong Nha – Hue (B, L)
7:00 Our guide will pick you up at your hotel by private car to Phong Nha Ke Bang National Park.
9:20 On the way, we will stop to visit Hien Luong Bridge and Ben Hai River - a significant landmark in the partition of Vietnam into Northern and Southern regions.
12:00 Have lunch and relax in Phong Nha restaurant.
13:00 Take a short cruise about 30 minutes upstream on Son River to reach the entrance of Phong Nha Cave (wet cave) - the second biggest cave in Vietnam which has been recognized as the World Heritage for its biological and geological value (UNESCO, 2003). Sail along the emerald stream and admire the spectacular triangular mouth of the cave.
13:30 Fully explore the exotic view inside the cave with thousands of stalagmites glittering.
15:30 Our car will take you back to Hue city.
19:30 Arrive your hotel.
Day 5: Hue Imperial half day tour – Hue airport/station (B, L)
Start the day with a 40 minute boat trip on the Perfume River to Thien Mu Pagoda. Enjoy a walk within the walls of the Citadel and explore the ruins of the home of the royal family. After the visit to this impressive monument, continue to the extravagant mausoleum of Khai Dinh south of Hue. The tomb of Khai Dinh boasts a traditional Vietnamese design with a European touch, making it unique from the other tombs in Hue. Back in Hue, you'll also have time to experience daily life of Hue's locals with a visit to the Dong Ba market before drop off to Phu Bai airport for your flight.
