A TOWN IN CLOUD
Known as “the Tonkinese Alps”, Sapa is rich with hill tribe minorities, lush mountain

cascading rice terraces and rippled mountains covered in low-hanging fog. The region is
home to many indigenous hill tribes, welcoming travellers who go on single or multi-day
hikes from the town of Sapa. While its remote location does make it a bit of a pain to get
