ITINERARY IN DETAIL
Day 1: Dong Hoi airport– DMZ – Dong Hoi (L)
Pick up at Dong Hoi Airport – Transfer to Phong Nha Cave.
Lunch at local restaurant.
– In the afternoon : Boat trip on The SON River to visit Phong Nha Cave with wonderful stalagmites and stalagtites .It wasrecognized as a World Natural Heritage in 2003 by UNESCO .
– O/N in Phong Nha.
Day 2: Dong Hoi – Thien Duong cave – Hue Imperial city (B, L)
In the morning, enjoy the breakfast with local food at hotel.
7:00 Our guide will pick you up at your hotel by private car to Paradise cave, located inside the World Heritage Phong Nha Ke Bang National Park, about 230km from Northwest of Hue.
On the way passing Quang Tri province, we will stop to visit La Vang Holy Land in Hai Lang district, where contains the most valuable sculptural works in the history of Vietnamese sculpture. Also, we will take a look at the DMZ area: The Macnamara Line, 17 Parallel, Ben Hai River, Hien Luong Bridge, etc.
12:30 Relax and have lunch in local restaurant.
13:30 After fews minutes driving and a short walk-up of over 500 steps, you reach the cave entrance. Come inside and spend about 2 hours exploring the magnificent scenery with the spectacular stalagmites system, which is out of human imagination.
15:30 Our car will take you back to Hue Imperial city.
19:30 Arrive your hotel.
Day 3: City Hue half day – Son Tra Peninsula (B, L)
Start the day with a 40 minute boat trip on the Perfume River to Thien Mu Pagoda. Enjoy a walk within the walls of the Citadel and explore the ruins of the home of the royal family. After the visit to this impressive monument, continue to the extravagant mausoleum of Khai Dinh south of Hue. The tomb of Khai Dinh boasts a traditional Vietnamese design with a European touch, making it unique from the other tombs in Hue.
Have lunch at loacl restaurant.
After that, make our way to the Linh Ung Pagoda in Da Nang which signifies the development of Vietnamese Buddhism in the 21st century. A very significant cultural site surrounded by stunning coastal views.
Descend the mountain and enjoy a city tour around Danang. Experience the Thuan Phuoc and Han River Bridges before stopping to visit the bustling Han Market in the centre of the city. Return Da Nang city to check in hotel.
Day 4: Da Nang city – Walking tour Hoi An – Da Nang airport (B, L)
After breakfast, we'll drive to Hoi An Ancient city, just south of Da Nang city. The old town is listed as a UNESCO World Heritage Site and was once known as Faifo, a major international port in the 16th and 17th centuries; to this day you'll feel those international influences.
Then, we spend the afternoon for a walking tour around this enchanting port town. Follow the narrow lanes lined with centuries-old houses influenced by Chinese, Japanese, French and European architectures and visit its numerous places of interest: the 400-year old Japanese Covered Bridge, the Phuc Kien Assembly Halls, the local fish market… Around the town we can see a numerous art galleries and tailor shops, wander and shop to your heart's content maybe purchasing some made-to-order clothing.
Transfer back to the airport for your flight.
